TOP 10 GREAT MATHEMATICIANS OF THE ERA!

HERE ARE THE GREAT MATHEMATICIANS OF THE ERA.

MATHS IS LOVE AND LOVE IS POWER

1.) PYTHAGORAS

He belonged to Samos. A mathematician from Greece he is recognized as one of the pioneers in his field. Alive in the 570 –t95 BC, he is also credited to have been the founder of Pythagorean Cult that have been recorded as one of the initial groups who were involved in the studying and advancing Mathematics. He is supposed to have come up with the Pythagorean Theorem in trigonometry. There is a little bit of confusion about this with some opposing views, but we cannot deny his huge contributions to elemental mathematics. This theorem is very actively used in modern calculations towards the building of modern equipment.  ( GREAT MATHEMATICIANS OF THE ERA.)

2.) ANDREW WILES

The only mathematician on the list given here who is still alive. He is credited with the proving of Fermat’s Last Theorem which says that no positive integers a,b and c can satisfy the equation a^n+b^n=c^n For n greater then 2. (If n=2 it is the Pythagoras Formula). We cannot truly say that is role in mathematics is as large as the others on this list but he can be credited with “inventing” huge chunks of new mathematics for proving this theorem. His devotion warrants some credit as he literally locked himself away for 7 years to come up with a solution.

3.) Isaac Newton and Wilhelm Leibniz:

These two have been paired off because the two of together have been credited with being the founder of modern infinitesimal calculus. Their contribution is considered monumental in the area. Leibniz has been credited with having brought in modern standard notation especially the integral sign. His input to the field of topology are invaluable. Isaac Newton was a genius who due to the grand scientific epic principia gathered notable credit as the man who actually invented calculus. Both men have given significant inputs to their field in their own way.

4.)Leonardo Pisano Bigollo:

Also called Leonardo Fibonacci was a great mathematician to come out of the middle ages. Alive from 1170 to 1250, he most famous for having brought in the notorious Fibonacci series the world on the western side. This series was known to Indian mathematicians since the 200 BC, but still one cannot discount the importance of this sequence that often appeared in biological systems.

5.)Alan Turing:

He is a Cryptanalyst and computer scientists who is acknowledged as one the best brains of the 20th Century.  worked during the Second World War in Government Code and Cypher School in Britain. They have made many important findings and revolutionary modes of breaking codes. These later on helped in analyzing the German Enigma Encryptions. With war coming to an end he started work on computing.

6.)René Descartes:

This physicist, mathematician and philosopher of French descent is most famous for his ‘Cogito Ergo Sum’ philosophy. Apart from this Frenchman made many vital and inventive contributions of Mathematics. He aided in establishing the ground for modern calculus along with Leibniz and Newton. Apart from this his development of Cartesian Geometry may be better known to readers. More familiar as the standard graph, this changed the way distances were measured and expressed.

7.)Euclid:

In 300 BC this man who is known to be the father of Geometry. Not much has been documented about his life back then and most of information we can gather is put together posthumously. His magnum Opus – Elements is still considered an important book and was used in teaching till the 20th century. He was recognized for the teaching of precise, sound testimony for theorems and suppositions. Beside, his Elements were five other existing works, that have been assumed to be also usually on the subject of Geometry or Number theory.

8.)G. F. Bernhard Riemann:

Son of an impoverished family, born in the year 1826, this man became a known mathematician in the 19th century. His contributions include a wide range of theorems that have his name. His work was to a large extent ignored for 50 years after they made their appearance, mainly because there were few mathematicians who could comprehend his work.

9.)Carl Friedrich Gauss:

Known to be a genius even as a child he made is first discovery in his teens and penned the unbelievable Disquisitiones Arithmeticae, his magnum opus, before he reached 21. Numerous people were aware of Gauss’s exceptional intellectual capability

10.)Leonhard Euler:

Born 1707 till his demise in 1783, he made many a contribution to his field, in fact he was considered the king of mathematics. He is considered the most important mathematician for his contributions. He was considered as path-breaking and next only to Einstein in genius. His main contribution to the field is with the introduction of mathematical notation counting the idea of a function, shorthand trigonometric functions, the ‘e’ for the base of the natural logarithm (The Euler Constant),

LIFE OF AN ENGINEER

ENGINEERING?

Engineering isn’t a career, it’s a feeling!

Guys, a person should be very careful in deciding engineering as their career.  just do not follow that sheep like behaviour in persuing btech as a career.

  • BASICALLY, WHAT IS ENGINEERING?

Engineering is the application of science and math to solve problems. Engineers figure out how things work and find practical uses for scientific discoveries. … A good engineer is a person who makes a design that works with as few original ideas as possible. Engineers apply the theories and principles of science and mathematics to research and develop economical solutions to technical problems. Their work is the link between perceived social needs and commercial applications.

But as we all know expectations is far away different from reality.

Lives of engineers can range from very good to very bad depending upon the nature of person, colleges, studies, jobs and priorities. Everyone should understand this that engineering is not as difficult as it is portrayed to us.

IF CHOCLATES ARE BAD FOR OUR TEETH THAT DOESN’T MEAN THAT WE SHOULD STOP EATING THEM!

LIFE OF ENGINEERS?

i would say a real tough one, engineers are sometimes portrayed as very studious people honestly, i believe thy are the least studious ones. They know working smartly and hardly both.

HERE ARE SOME QUALITIES OF AN ENGINEER APART FROM PORTRAYING THEIR DEGREES.

Career Scope-
An engineer can become software developer, bank manager, IAS officer, Business manager or even a BPO assistant.

Values-
There won’t be anything called “Hot chick” in engineering college hence they understand their value and start respecting every girl.

Working under pressure-
Even though he (might have) never experienced “one night stand” ever but he knows how to survive examinations via “one
night studies”

Determination-
Engineers love to sleep, but they never go to bed early. Nights are not made to be spent
sleeping, lecture are.

Meticulous-
Engineers are not lazy they are just highly motivated to procrastinate.

Kindness-
Engineers love everybody, apart from their Deans, scientists, new boyfriend of their ex-girl friends, authors of their curriculum books, power cutoffs and slow internet.

Team Work-
Team Projects and group seminars might have failed to teach them this quality but mass-bunks and proxy attendance will surely teach the value of team work.

Maturity-
Engineers get to know that world is full of dishonest people, when they join the college just because they have read the words like lavishing infrastructure, supporting faculty, 100% placements in their college brochures.
Also when they get to know that girl’s photo they saw on brochure doesn’t exist.

Network and relations-
None of the relatives or any friend’s mom ask them before but once they graduate everyone
calls them at their home (so that they can fix their table fans, mixers or radio transistors).
They recognize people with the mobile phone they carry and their laptop configurations rather than their names or faces.

Fast learning-
Even highly qualified faculty might have failed in teaching them a topic, but he will remember every word of it when his friend dictates it before entering the examination hall.

Learn by Fun-
Playing tic tac toe during class, late night counter strike tournaments, watching T20 with friends and completing Angry birds stages during lab sessions gave engineers more competence than any other sport.

Sacrifice-
Two engineers saw a hot chick in mall,
First reaction: ABE dekh be, Gazab !!
Second reaction: Abey, jaane de yaar aukat ke bahar hai. 😛

Engineers also sacrifice their clean shaved look, to look more hard-working during exams for self motivation.

Resource managements-
Engineers know that a 3G connection and 4Gb pen drive is the first requirement before preparing for practical exams. Engineers know the value of every single bar in Wifi
connectivity symbol and phone batteries.

Staying Healthy-
Engineers never compromise with their health, they stay fit and immune due to regular dosage of maggi and backed-samosa. Having food at Punjabi dhaba and tea at extra-
(un)hygienic Gumti is the part of their diet.

Engineering is not just a degree. It teaches you the way of living life like a warrior.
Engineering gives a perception and attitude. It teaches you the survival.

  • WHAT DO ENGINEERS DO ON JOB?

Engineers – What They DoEngineers apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems. Their work is the link between scientific discoveries and the commercial applications that meet societal and consumer needs. Many engineers develop new products.

  • 6 Different Types of Engineering Jobs
  • Civil Engineering.
  • computer science engineering.
  • Mechanical Engineering.
  • Chemical Engineering.
  • Petroleum Engineering.
  • Electrical Engineering.

Guys, life isn’t easy any way. Engineering couldn’t be told as a bad option. Follow your passion.

AND AND AND, THE GREATEST MYTH OF THE TIME IS BELOW –

My friends, this is not at all true. being an engineer, it’s just being all rounders and just get out of all the myths and go with the flow!
